Also called “the most relaxing massage in the world.” It improves blood
and lymph circulation, helps relieve stiffness and fatigue, and boosts
immunity.
Thai Traditional Massage techniques include pressing (using fingers, palms,
etc.), stretching, kneading, tapping, and more. In addition to hands and
fingers, therapists may use elbows, knees, or even feet. The famously “pleasantly
painful” stretches, synonymous with Thai massage, help correct alignment
through various methods.
Sometimes referred to as “yoga for two,” Thai Traditional Massage shares
roots with yoga and includes many yogic elements. Receiving Thai massage
can therefore offer some of the same beauty, fitness, and relaxation benefits
that yoga provides.
Thai massage is not only about the acrobatic stretches. Its unique approach
to pressing and kneading involves stimulating “Sen,” the energy lines running
through the body. These movements are performed slowly—similar to deep
breathing—to help loosen tight muscles, improve blood and lymph flow, relieve
pain, and stimulate the body’s natural healing powers and immune system.
Preventing muscle stiffness and removing toxins can also contribute to
anti-aging benefits.

The oil-based version of “the most relaxing massage in the world.”
In ancient Indian medicine (Ayurveda), which influenced Thai Traditional
Massage, herbal oils were used for treatment. Thai Aromatherapy Oil Massage
is a fusion of these Ayurvedic practices with Western oil massage and aromatherapy.
Aromatherapy uses fragrant plant essences (essential oils) to enjoy the
scent while promoting physical and mental well-being. During an oil massage,
these beneficial components help relieve muscle tension, moisturize and
warm the skin, and potentially improve overall skin condition. The essential
oils also penetrate through the skin, traveling via blood and lymph circulation
to help reduce fatigue and stiffness, as well as address coldness in the
extremities.
Thai oil massage is characterized by moderately firm strokes, making it
especially recommended for those with deep muscle tension.

Thai foot reflexology traces its origins back over 3,000 years to ancient
China, later introduced to Thailand where it was refined. We use special
foot massage cream and sometimes a wooden stick to stimulate the “Sen”
lines on the soles.
Often called the “second heart,” the feet have reflex zones connected to
organs and systems throughout the body. Stimulating these zones indirectly
massages the corresponding organs and can help recover their functions,
while improving blood and lymph flow. Of course, it relieves tired feet,
but it can also boost overall health.
In addition to the soles and tops of the feet, we also massage the calves.
